First Week Down, Two More To Go!

Hey moms and dads! Congratulations to you and the students for making it through the first week. It is amazing how much we learned in simply one week! From  learning about shapes and  patterns to learning about the composition of an orchestra, we were definitely nothing less than busy. All week long, we delved into the world of math and music and we found ways in which they connect with one another.  For example, we learned that in music rhythms are a form of a pattern. Sometimes the rhythm can be as simple as an AB pattern but other times,  it can be much more intricate such as an ABCD pattern.  We did fun little group building activities and various arts and crafts in order to re-enforce the newly learned concepts. To conclude our lovely week, we had a relaxing picnic/play day outside and finished up with an awesome string quartet ensemble. We are so excited and we hope that you continue to join us as we progress into weeks and two and three of our math and music land journey.
