Day 2/3 Re-Cap

Greeting Parents! Today marks Day 2/3 of Math and Music Makers Camp. Today we expanded on our knowledge of shapes as we began to delve into the world of 3-Dimensional shapes ad patterns. We used fun hands-on-activities, such as geoboards and 3-D figurines, to help the students obtain a better understanding of the physical  and mathematical attributes shapes. In addition to working in the classroom, we  took a trip outside and discovered objects in our environment that replicated our newly learned shapes. Moving onto the musical aspect of the camp, we transitioned from the brass family and became acquainted with the woodwind and percussion family.  We learned about the different instruments of both  families, how they are made, and we even had a pleasant visit from a talented saxophonist and African drummer.
