Camp has begun!!!

We had a great first day at Math & Music Makers Camp. We have a great group of kids who are eager to learn and have fun! Today we learned a lot about place value and even practiced what we learned by becoming human place values! We stood in the ones, tenths & 100ths places and recited large numbers based on where we stood. We danced and sang learning musical patterns. We learned the number of counts in quarter, half & whole notes and practiced skip counting to music. The mystery musicians played trumpets and let each child try to blow the trumpet (everyone used a new mouth piece :-). It was a great day.
